How it works

Getting your car radio unlock code takes less than 30 seconds. Here's the full process.

01

Find your serial number

Locate the serial number printed on a label on your car radio unit. It's usually on the side, top, or back of the radio. You may need to pull the radio out of the dashboard using removal keys.

Many standard serials start with M, V, L, or C followed by 6 digits. PCB codes are 7 digits with no letter prefix.

02

Enter it on carradio.codes

Type the full serial number into the decode field on our homepage. The tool automatically detects which radio series you have from the prefix letter and validates the format in real time.

No registration. No email. No payment. Just type and go.

03

Get your unlock code instantly

Press the Decode button and your 4-digit unlock code appears in under one second. Enter the code on your car radio's preset buttons (1–4) and press confirm to unlock.

If your radio shows 'WAIT' or 'LOCKED', leave it powered on for up to an hour before retrying.
